PM leaves for New York
The Prime Minister left the country today to attend a meeting with UN’s Secretary General, António Guterres in New York.
Dr Rowley will be accompanied by Dennis Moses Foreign and Caricom Affairs Minister.
In a release Sunday, the Office of the Prime Minister said Rowley would be joining a Caricom delegation including PM of St. Kitts and Nevis Dr Timothy Harris. Rowley will return to TT on February 6.
At the meeting the Caricom delegation will request UN assistance with the ongoing situation in Venezuela.
While the PM is out of the country, Finance Minister Colm Imbert will act as Prime Minister.
