NATHAN Sancho and Aaden Owen delivered standout performances in round two of the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board Under-17 Interzone tournament on March 19.

At the St Mary's College Grounds in St Clair, a solid performance with bat and ball by Sancho led North to victory over Tobago by 249 runs.

North scored a massive 338/9 in 50 overs with Zakariyya Mohammed, Maleek Lewis and Sancho all scoring fifties.

Mohammed and Lewis put on 119 runs for the second wicket to get North off to a quick start. Lewis fell for 66 off 57 balls (11 fours) and Mohammed was then dismissed for 72 off 102 deliveries (eight fours) to leave North on 183/3 in the 32nd over.

In response, Tobago were all out for 89 in 18.4 overs. Sancho returned with the ball to snatch 4/22 in six overs to leave the Tobago batsmen quiet. Tyrell Guiseppi picked up 3/15 and Tristan Craig took 2/6 to add to the demise of the Tobago zone.
