THE TT Football Association (TTFA) executive, having taken office in April 2024, said it has been actively engaged in laying a solid foundation for the future of football in TT.

"Over the past few weeks, significant strides have been made as we work diligently to restore the organisation to a level of respectability and efficiency," a TTFA media release said.

"Central to our efforts has been the ratification and appointment of members to our various standing committees. This decisive step is crucial to ensuring that the TTFA operates with the highest standards of governance, professionalism and accountability.

"We believe these appointments are a testament to our commitment to bringing transparency and trust to all our stakeholders, including our TTFA members, our players, coaches, fans, and the wider public."

The TTFA executive "understands the immense responsibility and hard work that comes with the mandate entrusted to us and we are fully aware that the hard work must continue."

The TTFA executive wants to ensure that the association's finances are mainly put towards the development of football with the aim being qualifying for the next Fifa World Cup.

"The current TTFA executive is now tasked with the significant challenge of restoring financial stability and integrity to our organisation. This effort comes at a crucial time when substantial resources need to be allocated towards our country’s 2026 World Cup drive. We are committed to managing the TTFA’s finances responsibly and transparently, ensuring that every dollar is spent in a manner that supports the growth and success of TT football."

The TTFA also wants to give the Home of Football, which includes rooms and meeting rooms, a facelift.

Additionally, we must address the state of the Home of Football and to bring this facility to a level that is adequate for its intended purposes. This can deliver tangible benefits to the FA and we must allocate significant funding for its refurbishment. The Home of Football has the potential to be a cornerstone for the development of football in TT, but only if it is properly upgraded and maintained. Our priority is to ensure that this facility can serve our players, staff, and the wider football community effectively."
