Trinidad and Tobago Girls Under-14 were edged 5-3 by Aruba in a penalty shootout in the semi-final of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) Girls Under-14 Challenge Series at the ABFA Technical Centre in St John's, Antigua on Saturday.

Aruba were the better team in the early stages of the game, but TT settled midway through the first half and controlled the remainder of the first half which ended goalless. However, TT were the aggressors in the second period being more purposeful in attack utilising striker Shakilla Hamilton and midfielder Mia Lee Chong.

TT spent majority of the time in Aruba's half but squandered several goalscoring opportunities, especially in the latter stage of the match. The match was goalless when the 70 minutes of regulation time ended.

Aruba kicked first in the penalty shootout, and were perfect in their kicks scoring all five goals while TT missed on their second attempt. Aruba and Puerto Rico won all four of their group matches and will face each other in Sunday's final.

TT defeated Jamaica 2-1 in their final group stage match to qualify for the semis on goal difference, after three straight losses to Jamaica (1-0) and Puerto Rico (3-0 and 5-0).
