THE Opposition has continued its boycott of the Parliament.

This time its senators stayed away from the Senate on Tuesday citing fears of contracting the covid19 virus.

Last Friday, Opposition MPs requested leave from the sitting of the House of Representatives as they believe people who had been in close contact with the Prime Minister would be there. Dr Rowley has been diagnosed with the covid19 virus eight days ago.

Although public health officials said all members of the Parliament had contact tracing which did not reveal any link between Rowley and any other government members, opposition members are still not taking a chance.

They were all absent at the Senate on Tuesday afternoon.

Health Minister Terrence Deyalsingh, last week, called the first boycott a "total dereliction of duty."

Opposition senator Wade Mark will host a press conference in Port of Spain at 2.30 pm.
