Caribbean Yard Campus courses begin
Caribbean Yard Campus will launch its first course in Caribbean History during the 2021 Dry Season Programme April 5- June 26. This course, Nacido Del Orinoco, begins where the history of the island of Trinidad began, as a geological outcrop of the South American continent. From there, the course explores indigenous, colonial and contemporary narratives between the countries of TT and our Venezuelan relatives.
Other regular courses in the season’s programme will be the perennial Sweet Broom and Bitter Bush, which teaches the science of the herbal remedies that may be right in your backyard; Nou Ka Pale Kweyol an introduction to Kweyol for persons interested in speaking/writing Kweyol and in cultural research; and Planting People, our holistic, multi-faceted approach to backyard and small-scale farming.
Caribbean Yard Campus, through its seasonal curriculum of courses, provides access to the deep layers of knowledge developed by the peoples of our region.
All courses will be delivered online.
