Carnival country
THE EDITOR: I see nothing wrong if UTT are offering certificates in Carnival studies, be it MA, BA or PHD.
We should all recognise that this country is a Carnival and calypso civilisation, and we must ensure that Carnival and its activities achieve their goals.
In fact, the only project that meets its deadline is Carnival.
We really wouldn’t have a problem in any other field, be it water, electricity, roads, licensing, immigration or even the hospital if we kept our focus on Carnival.
We may even use Carnival to solve our crime problem; we very often boast of having a crime-free Carnival so I would like to suggest we celebrate Carnival at least once per month so we may have at least 24 murders less per year.
