Following the leader, lamely

THE EDITOR: I have been bothered by a certain phenomena, and so I sat and I sat and I wondered. I am still perplexed and I still wonder just what it is about this woman, Kamla Persad-Bissessar, that makes seemingly otherwise intelligent men so willing to toe her line, to lamely follow her lead.

One fellow, Vasant, apparently took a bush bath and threw off the spell, to the point where he challenged the woman to do battle. But in the hours leading up to the encounter he lost courage and cried foul, claiming that the fight was fixed.

Those other erudite men, called on to support a piece of legislation, which they know in their hearts to be the right thing to do, chose instead to kowtow to that mesmerising feminine influence.

What a disgrace. I can only hope that in the near future when they are confronted with the result of their cowardice they will regain their manhood and admit to their stupidity.

On the other hand, so much for wishful thinking.
