30 qualify for Junior Monarch semi-final

The Trinbago Unified Calypsonians' Organisation (TUCO) has announced 30 semi-finalists for the First Citizens National Junior Calypso Monarch Competition.

The semi-final takes place on January 27 at the Kaiso House Calypso Tent, Queen's Park Savannah, Port of Spain, from 10 am.

In a media release, TUCO said all semi-finalists are required to be present by 9.30 am to draw for positions to perform.

Following the semi-final competition, the results for the final will be announced, and the draw to determine the order of appearance will take place at the venue, the release said.

The final takes place on February 5 at the Savannah.
