Anaiace, 4, follows Daddy’s footstep in photography

AT just four years old, Anaiace Noray is already following in his father’s footsteps and pursuing his passion for photography.

It all started with his fascination and admiration for his father, Leeandro Noray’s love for photography and music.

Speaking to Newsday Kids on Thursday, Anaiace of Signal Hill, Tobago proudly declared, “My Daddy takes photo (sic) and plays pan.

“I take photos with the camera. I like to take photos of trucks and colours and colourful books.

“I want to be a fireman (who) sometimes take photos and play pan. I want to put out a fire. I like to see the beach and take photos at the beach. I like to play in the sand too. I take photos with the camera and the drone.”

He said he feels good when he takes pictures. “My favourite photo I take is (of) my truck.”

Anaiace said for now, he wants to keep his talent hidden, but soon he hopes to show the world his work.

“I never show anybody my photos. I will show them one day.”

When he’s not engaging his grandparents in conversation, Anaiace spends time playing construction with his toy trucks.

He is popular among his peers at Tiny Fanatics Learning Centre and in his community for his infectious energy and lively personality.

Anaiace would often sit by his father’s side during his performances, mesmerised by the beautiful melodies that fills the air. But as Anaiace grew older, he found himself drawn not only to the music.

Surprisingly, Anaiace picked up the art of photography at an incredibly young age. At just a couple of months old he would grab his father’s camera whenever he was close by.

Even now as a toddler, Anaiace has an ability to find and frame the perfect angles, showcasing a natural talent beyond his years.

The joy and satisfaction he feels whenever he presses that shutter button is always undeniable, and it was clear to everyone around him that he is destined to follow his father’s footsteps as a photographer.

While his father described Anaiace’s passion for photography and music as a “nice feeling”, he said Anaiace is always encouraged to be whatever he wants to be.

Over the years, Anaiace went along with his father at almost all his photography gigs.

From weddings to portrait sessions, he would tag along and observe his father’s every move, learning the fundamentals of photography.

Being exposed to such a creative environment from a young age allowed Anaiace to develop an understanding and appreciation for the art form. He soaked up knowledge like a sponge, constantly experimenting and refining his techniques, his Father told Newsday kids.

However, even with his deep love for photography, Anaiace dreams beyond the boundaries of the camera.

In his imaginative mind, he sees a future where he could combine his two passions: being a fireman who takes breathtaking photos and plays the steelpan.

It is a dream that seems far-fetched to many, but Anaiace holds onto it with solid determination. He believes that with enough hard work and dedication, he could find a way to merge his passions and make a mark in both worlds.

With his astonishing talent, unwavering drive, and a tiny heart full of dreams, there is no doubt that Anaiace will leave an unforgettable mark on the world of photography in Tobago.
