Fyzabad man, 37, gunned down

A 37-year-old man was gunned down in Fyzabad before dawn on Monday while visiting a friend.

The police named the victim as Kerron “Kiki” Montrose of Pepper Village.

A report said gunshots rang out at around 12.50 am, and the police were alerted.

PCs Johnitty and Weston were on mobile patrol, responded to the shooting report, and learnt that someone had been wounded.

Montrose was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

South Western Division and Homicide Bureau of Investigations (Region III) police visited the scene and gathered evidence.

Investigators found two spent 9 mm shell casings.

No one has been arrested, and the police have no motive.

WPC Dyer-Baptiste of the Homicide Bureau is leading investigations.
