Families enjoy Spiritual Day at the beach
On Spiritual Shouter Baptist Liberation Day some opted to spend their day on the beach.
Newsday visited Williams Bay, Chaguaramas, where families came out in their numbers to enjoy the sun and sand.
Children played water sports, while the adults soaked in the sea or relaxed on the shore on the humid day.
Most groups came with their picnic baskets of home-cooked food and coolers packed with drinks.
Families mainly kept to themselves and enjoyed the day out with their loved ones. However many on the shore either did not wear masks or wore them on their chins instead of using them to cover their noses and mouths.
It seemed to be a bonding time for all, parents with their children, adult children with their older parents and couples with each other.
