Diego Martin murder suspect to go on ID parade

The 22-year-old man detained for the Christmas night murder of Moruga gardener Keveon Julien remained in custody up to Wednesday afternoon.

The suspect, a construction labourer who lives at Simeon Road in Diego Martin, was expected to be put on an identification parade on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old victim was stabbed at about 8.30 pm on Friday at the roadside in his native La Lune Village.

Police said Julien and a group of men had an altercation, and one of the men stabbed him. Julien, the father of one, managed to run to his girlfriend's home, but collapsed and died. there

No one else was injured, and the group left.

Moruga police as well as officers from the Homicide Bureau Region III visited.

Police later held the suspect. Once charged, he will face a Princes Town magistrate.
