THE EDITOR: Archbishop Jason Gordon should show us how not to be stingy. Let the refugees from Venezuela be accommodated on Nelson Island, as was customary during indentureship.

The Catholic community, having raised millions for a cathedral, can easily raise a similar amount in a humanitarian effort to house and feed those seeking our assistance.

The refugees on Nelson Island would be nearer to home, and would also be closer to their faith through the hospitality of the Catholic community.
