Two villages without water
THE EDITOR: This is a copy of a letter sent to the chief executive officer of WASA, Dr Ellis Burris, explaining the water woes affecting residents of two villages and seeking his intervention.
Sir, as a concerned citizen and community activist, I am making a complaint to inform you that the residents of Coryal and Carmichael have not had pipe-borne water for more than 10 days.
You might be well aware, if not, I am informing you that many telephone calls have been made to WASA hotlines for a truck-borne supply in the interim for paying customers, but all the residents’ appeals have fallen on deaf ears. The worsening situation is further aggravated when there is no rebate.
I trust you would use your high office to give these complaints your prompt attention and the consideration it truly deserves. I hope in the not too distant future the affected residents will get assistance.
