WrapWorks Deli opens at Unipet, Cross Crossing

IF you happen to be at Cross Crossing San Fernando, you can now enjoy wraps, burritos, tacos, rice bowls, salads and more at the newly-opened WrapWorks Deli branch at the Unipet service station.

It was officially opened on Saturday morning and is a result of a partnership between the two companies.

WrapWorks founder Gerard Edwards said he was proud to open the service station’s first “ready-to-go, healthy food option.”

“This is also a step forward for local entrepreneurs – a responsibility we take seriously to encourage and inspire young Trinidadians and Tobagonians to pursue their business ideas with standards of excellence that will match any international player.”

The business was launched in 2010 and has two other branches – one at Ariapita Avenue, Port of Spain and the other in Chaguanas.

Unipet’s corporate secretary Rupert K Jones said amid negative news, especially owing to the covid19 pandemic, it felt nice to have some “good news” – a new corporate partnership.

He said it was a result of innovative and forward thinking, in addition to seeing the value young entrepreneurs add to the country.

“It’s always been about change…Everything we do promotes value,” he said.

San Fernando Mayor Junia Regrello was also present and placed the first order –­ a veggie wrap.

He said the city is at the “cusp of development,” and doing well.

“I just drove down by the waterfront (redevelopment project) and I said, ‘Wow.’ Imagine sitting at the waterfront watching the sun set in the west, having a wrap somewhere.

“Port of Spain has nothing on us at this time. We are pushing forward.”
