Skeleton found in Grande

Skeletal remains were discovered by a gardener at Fishing Pond, Sangre Grande, at around 11.15 am yesterday.

Police said Gayadeen Gobin, a gardener was on his way to check on some crops in the area when he stumbled across the remains.

He called the police and members of the Sangre Grande CID visited the scene.

Police said the skeleton appeared to be that of a male. It is expected to be taken to the Forensic Science Centre, St James, today for a post mortem.

Investigations are continuing.
