Xmas, New Year wish list
THE EDITOR: As the nation celebrates Christmas and looks forward to the New Year with optimism, permit me to send my wish list to all patriots, and all those who really love Trinbago.
Going forward:
1. I wish the Government focuses more on the quality of life of the elderly who have built this country. Citizens must stand for what is right! And stand up for their rights.
2. The judges and magistrates continue their fearless work as they dispense justice in this country to all and sundry without fear or favour.
3.Politicians recommit to their oaths of serving the voters who elected them, as well as conducting themselves in the nation’s Parliament with distinction.
4.The Government observes its commitment to its employees (public servants) to be paid on time.
5.Businessmen continue to invest in Trinbago, giving workers a fair wage, and workers, in turn, doing likewise.
6. Citizens support local industries, vendors and farmers by buying local... always
7. Citizens support the police by partnering on crime, also observing the laws of the land. Citizens must guard their rights as enshrined in the Constitution.
8. Citizens show more tolerance on the road when driving.
9. Authorities charged with the responsibility of fixing potholes in the road do their job.
10. Award our cultural and sporting heroes before they pass on. Radio stations must promote the music of our local singers and musicians.
11. PanTrinbago executive and panmen settle their differerences...amicably
12. Government think about building a National Cultural Office housing Pan Trinbago, TUCO, NCC and the Music Festival Organisers.
13, Citizens support our sportsmen/sportswomen in the endeavours and events.
These dear readers are just some of my wishes which will help to make Trinbago a better place. I hope.
