Two gunned down in Laventille, one killed in Port of Spain

TWO men were gunned down at Block 42 in Laventille on the night of August 22.

Police could not confirm the time of the incident to Newsday, but said Tyrese Cowie of Santa Cruz and Tyrese Charles of Barataria were killed.

Another unidentified person was injured.

Police said there was also a fatal shooting near Charford Court, Port of Spain in which Alexander Brown of Chinapoo was shot.

He later died at hospital.

The country's murder toll for 2024 is 408 as of August 22.
