A 24-year-old soldier and another man were arrested on March 25 after Belmont Criminal Investigations Department police found them in possession of counterfeit US and TT cash.

They were arrested after the victim reported to police that he met a man at Hilton Hotel, Port of Spain around 6.30 pm on March 25 to purchase US$10,000.

A release said he first bought US$6,000 and paid TT$42,600 for it. The victim then paid an additional TT$28,400 for US$4,000.
