A 21-year-old man who ordered several products online and robbed the couriers at gunpoint when they came to drop them off in Freeport has been arrested.

In a sting operation on August 12, police from Freeport CID led by Sgt Harriot and Cpl Bajan, as well as the Central Division Gang Unit, arrested the suspect, from Paradise Avenue in Calcutta No 3, Freeport.

The police said he was wanted for at least six counts of robbery.

He ordered several items from a company online on different dates and was supposed to pay for his packages on delivery.

However, each time a courier visited the address he gave them, at Temple Street, off Beaucarro Road, he robbed them of his items as well as other packages.

The unemployed suspect is expected to be put on identification parades this week.

Investigations are ongoing.
