Unidentified man dies after being found lying in road in Cunupia

Police are still trying to identify a man who died hours after he was found lying on a road in Cunupia on August 8.

Around 11.20pm, police received reports of a wounded man on Topaz Avenue, Chin Chin Gardens,.

Police responded to the report and found a man lying in the road in a pool of blood with wounds on his head and back. He was alive but unresponsive and had no form of identification.

Police also found a wheel spanner, covered with blood, lying near him.

The victim was taken to the Eric Williams Medical Science Complex in Mt Hope, where he died two hours later.

Further enquiries revealed a black Suzuki car was seen speeding away from the scene with the trunk open.

Police said the victim was of East Indian descent, bald, six feet tall, with a goatee beard and an abstract tattoo on his entire left hand. He was wearing a white T-shirt, and blue three-quarter jeans.
