TRINIDAD and Tobago’s trio at the 2024 Pan American Masters Track & Field Championship closed off their campaign with three more gold medals on the final day in Cleveland, Ohio, on July 17.

After trumping the field in the women’s 45-49 age group 400m event on July 15, TT’s Natasha Kelshall-Pantin concluded her stint by striking gold in the 200m.

She clocked a nippy 27.41 seconds to take the top prize ahead of Americans Aseel Aziz-Gomez (30.38s) and Cassandra Harris (36.13s), who earned silver and bronze respectively.

Michelle Sturge (54-59) also backed up her golden 100m finish by snaring another top place in the 200m. She stopped the clock at 28.32s. Coming in second was American Veronica LeShore (29.87s) and Canadian Josee Falcon (32.37s) rounded off the top three.

Additionally, TT’s Murrien Mitchell, who also captured 100m gold two days ago, bagged another pole position in the 200m event. He won the race in 23.75s and crossed the finish line ahead of Brazilian runner-up Jason Ferreira (24.66s) and Canadian Andre Mitchell (24.90s) respectively.
