ANSA McAL has expanded its local and regional partnership with WizdomCRM to promote financial literacy for students and create a more sustainable, economically stable environment.

In a press release, Ansa McAl said its partnership with WizdomCRM as a cross-border sponsor for Cycle 7 of its Sustainable Stock Market Game highlights its continued investment in youth development in TT and Guyana.

Students from Queen’s College, North Ruimveldt Multilateral Secondary School (Guyana), Bishop Anstey High School, Bishops Anstey High School East and Tranquility Secondary School have benefited from this partnership, the release added.

Speaking at the Cycle 7 award ceremony at the National Academy for Performing Arts (NAPA), Sarah Inglefield, head of culture and communications for Ansa McAl, said, "Our leadership, led by group CEO, Anthony N Sabga III, has seen the benefits of the Sustainable Stock Market Game in strengthening human capital whilst ensuring quality education at the secondary level in both TT and Guyana.

"As such, we will continue the collaborative work we started with WizdomCRM for Cycle 7 and expand our regional sponsorship for Cycle 8 in 2024 and Cycles 9 and 10 in 2025. This is very much in line with our purpose of inspiring better choices for a better world."

Inglefield said Ansa McAl will expand the support to students from Barbados, in addition to supporting students from TT and Guyana.

"This allows them access to this regional competition through gamification learning and artificial intelligence (AI), and leveraging AI for 21st-century education."

Group company Ansa Bank also delivered on its promise to open bank accounts for all sponsored students who were in the top 150 in TT.

The top three Ansa McAl students – Desiree Cuffie from Bishop Anstey High School, Port of Spain and sisters Arissa and Alissa Kumar from Bishop Anstey High School East – were presented with $1,000 voucher deposits.

Also speaking at the awards ceremony was country manager for WizdomCRM, Charielle Plowden.

"At WizdomCRM we firmly believe in the power of private and public sector partnerships creating innovative platforms such as the Sustainable Stock Market Game in unlocking the full potential of students across the diaspora, empowering and equipping them to thrive in the 21st century," Plowden said.
