KABS Roofing Solutions-Roxborough United, Main Ridge Challengers and DXL Crown Point Spartans kept their unbeaten tag in Tobago T-10 Community Wind-ball Cricket League, following matches last weekend.

Providence was again in the mix versus Patience Hill Invincibles. His top score of 66 runs, in Spartans’ total of 130 for the loss of five wickets and bowling figures of three for 25, gave Spartans a 20-run victory.
Invincibles made a spirited effort to get the runs, but the loss of Antonio Jordan’s wicket for a top score of 25 runs, in the latter overs, slowed the momentum, as they reached 110 for seven wickets.
Newcomers, Roxborough United are proving to be worthy competitors after three performances in the win column.

Keston Rodney made light work of the chase as he smashed a quick-fire 37 runs in United’s response of 88 for 2 in only 5.1 overs.
Main Ridge Challengers were expected to face quality opposition from Juice Buccoo United, but the contest did not live up to the hype. Premium scores of 43 from Samuel Williams and 34 off the bat of Kwani Thomas spurred Challengers to a competitive 114 for four wickets.
Buccoo United entered the match unbeaten after three games, but their batsmen were rolled over for 65 runs. Shaquile Thomas, Caldon Kerr and Davion Shangie took two wickets each.
Among the highlights of the day was the grit of Shanell Grieg. Playing for Concordia Rising Stars against Betsy Hope Scrape-Up, Greig surprised the onlookers with her batting skills.
Scrape-Up benefitted from an imposing knock of 74 from Clinton Brooks, which featured ten sixes, in their total of 112 for four wickets.
When Rising Stars batted Grieg’s male counterparts could not follow her lead and they were left stranded on 91 for five wickets.
Grieg who entered the crease at the fall of the first wicket, did her best to keep the scoreboard ticking, but the loss of wickets and slow going at the other end, pressured her into going for one shot too many. She was eventually bowled for 42 runs, which included four sixes.
Four games are scheduled for Saturday from 12.00 pm. Something will have to give as two of the unbeaten teams, defending champions Crown Point Spartans and debutant, Roxborough United face off at 4.30 pm.
