TKR, Patriots match washed out in CPL

THE match between Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the 2023 Republic Bank Caribbean Premier League was abandoned because of rain at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium in Gros Islet, St Lucia on Saturday.

TKR, sent in to bat by the Patriots, were 19/1 after three overs when rain stopped play. Martin Guptill was bowled by left-arm fast bowler Sheldon Cottrell for 11 off 15 balls. Mark Deyal (two) and Chadwick Walton (one) were the not out batsmen for TKR.

Both teams receive one point each for the no-result.

TKR will now travel to St Kitts for their second match of the tournament against St Lucia Kings on August 26 at 10 am.
