Samaroo will be remembered for generations

THE EDITOR: On behalf of the Sunshine Awards Organization and on my own behalf, I extend heartfelt condolences to the family and the people of TT on the passing of Dr Brinsley Samaroo.

Samaroo served in a variety of capacities including as a senator and minister of government. His main contribution to society was in the field of education and research.

His unique style of teaching combined with his tireless efforts have helped to facilitate the success of many students including inspiring them to pursue their dreams.

His contribution to education and research will be cherished by all those whose lives he touched and enriched by his passion for a better world.

Samaroo received many recognitions and awards including the first Dom Basil Matthews Sunshine Award for Education and Research in 2012. He will be remembered for generations to come.

The Sunshine Awards Organization’s thoughts and prayers are with his family and we hope that fond memories of him will bring them comfort.
