Sport minister lauds victorious Trinidad and Tobago's cyclists at Nations Cup
SHAMFA CUDJOE, Minister of Sport and Community Development, has lauded the successful Trinidad and Tobago cycling team, who claimed three gold medals at the Tissot International Cycling Union (UCI) Track Nations Cup in Cali, Colombia last weekend.
Nicholas Paul captured gold in the men’s sprint and the keirin, while Akil Campbell won the men’s elimination race.
Cudjoe, in a media release on Monday, said, “We thank the team for their outstanding performances at the Nations Cup and for inspiring our youths and budding cyclists alike.
We will continue to stand firmly behind all our athletes as they chase after success and fly the red, white and black globally.”
The Sport Minister also recognises the contribution of all of the coaches, the technical staff, cycling clubs and the TT Cycling Federation for their tireless efforts to advance cycling.
