THE EDITOR: The covid19 vaccine is given as a protection against a serious and deadly disease.

Vaccines stimulate your body's natural defences. They assist your immune system fight infections efficiently by sparking your immune response to specific diseases.

Vaccines are safe to administer. They go through rigorous safety testing before being approved for John Thomas.

Vaccines save lives. They will protect against diseases than can kill. It is imperative to be vaccinated against covid19.

A vaccine will not overload your immune system. You are exposed to hundreds of germs every day. A sore throat will put a greater burden on your immune system than a covid19 vaccine.

When enough people in TT are immunised against covid19, we will reach herd immunity. Diseases can't spread from person to person because most people are immune.

Covid19 vaccines are safe and serious side effects are rare. Any discomfort after vaccination is minor and temporary. There is no evidence of a link between covid19 vaccines and autism.

The best way to protect yourself is to follow the vaccine schedule in TT. Delay means you are increasing your vulnerability to covid19.

The covid19 vaccine eliminates the risk of complications from the disease and prevents infection to friends and family. Follow the recommended vaccine schedule.

Wear your mask. Practise social distancing. Your health is in your hands. Wash them regularly.
