'Ghost' killed in Chaguanas

One week after Barry Wincel Maillard celebrated his 48th birthday, someone shot and killed him in bed early Sunday.
The father of four, also known as Ghost, lived at Gurahoo Trace, Chase Village in Chaguanas.
Maillard went to sleep on Saturday night. Police said relatives heard gunshots at around 1.15 am on Sunday but made no checks. About four hours later, they found Maillard dead on his bed with gunshot wounds.
A female relative spoke briefly to Newsday and referred to him as a good, loving person who was always smiling. He turned 48 last week Sunday (December 6).
She said the family was too distraught to say anything else.
Central Division police including Cpl Kinsale and PC Rampersad, together with police from the Homicide Bureau Region III visited the scene.
No one has been arrested.
