Three held with weed in Biche

A police exercise in Biche led to the arrest of three men and marijuana being seized on Wednesday afternoon.

A police media release on Thursday said the Biche, Rio Claro and Mayaro CIDs, led by Snr Supt Aguilal, ASP Jankee and others, set up a road block at the 19-mile mark, Cunapo.

They stopped a blue Ford Ranger, searched it and found 296 grams of marijuana.

The release said three men who were in the car, Kumar Jawahir, 40, Zion Francis, 21, and Gobardhan Madhoo, 52, all of Southern Main Road, Biche, were arrested.

Eastern Division police are continuing enquiries.
