69 passports delivered on first day of delivery system
The TT Postal Corporation (TTPost) has delivered 69 passports in the new passport delivery system being done in partnership with the Ministry of National Security.
In a release, the corporation said the first batch of passports were delivered on the first day of delivery, September 30, using the new system.
TTPost said the new system can be accessed by visiting the Immigration Division website at http://www.nationalsecurity.gov.tt//Divisions/The-Immigration-Division, where the new system which begins with the purchasing of a TTPost TrackPak per passport to accompany the application is explained.
In a video on its Facebook page, the corporation said citizens should first schedule an appointment at www.ttpassport.info. They should then go to a TTPost location to purchase an A5 Trackpak per passport. They should take the self-addressed Trackpak(s), a third-party authorisation form authorising TTPost to collect the passport on their behalf and the required documentation listed on the Immigration Division’s website to the appointment. The authorisation form can be found on the immigration website.
TTPost will deliver the passport to the applicant when it is ready for delivery. Applicants will receive a notice via email when their new passports are ready for delivery.
The release said both TTPost and the Immigration Division are happy with the smooth introduction of the new system, which is consistent with the government’s policy of using technology to improve the efficiency of the service offered by its agencies.
