Covid19 cases holding steady at 116
The Ministry of Health, in its 10 pm update, said no more covid19 cases were reported on Sunday. The number of cases remained at 116 as some stay-at-home measures were set to be relaxed on Monday.
The most recent positive test result was reported on April 21.
Three more recovered covid19 patients were discharged earlier on Sunday. Two were discharged from the Home of Football in Couva and one from the Couva Hospital and Multi-training facility.
The total number of recovered patients is now 107. There is still one patient hospitalised at the Couva Hospital.
No new samples were sent to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) or UWI since the ministry's 10 am update on Sunday. That number remained at 2307.
The number of deaths owing to the virus remained unchanged at eight with the last such death being reported on April 6.
