Laventille man gunned down

A 22-year-old Laventille man is dead after a shooting on Thursday afternoon.

Police said Joshua Henry, of Buller Trace, Laventille, was near his home at around 5.30 pm when four gunmen approached him and shot him several times before running away through a track.

Residents called the police and members of the Inter Agency Task Force went to the scene.

Homicide Investigators and a district medical officer were called in who declared Henry dead at the scene.

Police remained in the area up until 7 pm searching for the gunmen.
