Man set on fire after being doused with puncheon

Moruga police are investigating an incident at Penal Rock Road junction in Basse Terre Village on Monday when someone doused puncheon rum on a man near a bar then set him on fire during a confrontation.

Up to today, the victim, Raymond “Abba” La Fortune, remains in a critical condition at the San Fernando General Hospital. La Fortune lives at Penal Rock Road and frequents the bar.

Details are sketchy but reports say the perpetrator(s) left before police arrived.No one has been arrested and PC Woods is leading investigations.
