MIC TIGERS and Police Youth Club (PYC) joined Bermudez at the top of the Courts All Sectors Netball League alternative division on Tuesday, after both teams recorded their second straight victory at the Eastern Regional Indoor Sports Arena, Tacarigua.

Goal-shoot Okera Dennie led MIC with 15 goals in their 32-8 dismantling of UWI (Y), the same tally she recorded a week prior when her team defeated USC 26-10 in the first round.

Dennie's team-mate Alliyah Modeste continued to be productive on the court, scoring 13 goals from 20 attempts.

The day's action concluded with PYC defeating first round winners UWI (X) 19-16.

Little separated the two teams for most of the encounter, as UWI held a narrow 3-2 lead by the end of the first period, before both teams ended the second quarter locked at 8-8. PYC, however, went ahead in the third period and held their advantage until the end of the match.

PYC were led by Cheryse Aguilleria with 10 off 20 shots, while goal-shoot Mariah Smith produced a more clinical ten from 16 in the losing effort. The day began with two teams seeking their first win in the alternative division. Defence Force, humbled after their 23-7 loss to Bermudez last week, rebounded with a 15-13 victory over Las Lomas.

Goal-attack Nickeisha Peters Williams led for the winning team with 11 goals from 16 attempts.

Matches in the alternative division will continue today with another triple-header, starting with Las Lomas facing an uphill battle against Bermudez from 5.30 pm at the same venue.

TT Post and USC, both seeking their first win, will meet at 6.20 pm.

The day's activities conclude with the roaring MIC Tigers taking on Jabloteh, a team on two consecutive losses, at 7.10 pm. The premiership and alternative divisions will resume on Saturday.
