Petrotrin hit Chicas for six in TT WoLF

NATIONAL WOMEN’S football team striker Mariah Shade was in fine form as Petrotrin hammered Tobago Chicas 6-0 in a June 16 fixture of the TT Women’s League Football (WoLF) 2018 season.

At the Montgomery Recreation Ground, the hosts had no answers for Shade, who netted a hat-trick in the lopsided contest.

Also getting their names on the scoresheet were the former national youth team pair of Khadisha Debisette and Kayla Taylor. Debisette netted twice and Taylor chipped in with one for the South-based outfit.

TT Under-20 midfielder Renae Ward notched a double to guide Queen’s Park to a 4-1 victory over Club Sando at the Leo Thompson Ground in Gasparillo. Sharain Cummings was on target for the Parkites, with an own goal adding to Club Sando’s troubles.

In a lone First Division encounter, at the Eddie Hart Ground in Tacarigua, North Coast and Sweaters FC played to a goalless draw.

This season, the round-robin league format will be followed by a Big Four tournament, involving the top two teams from the Super League and the First Division.
