Dr Bodoe a true man of the people

THE EDITOR: Dr Lackram Bodoe, being a first-time Member of Parliament, has proven himself worthy of the trust of the people in Fyzabad.

A man entering politics with fresh ideas and compassion for the people is a welcome sight and a breath of fresh air for the people of the constituency who have not witnessed memorable change for the last few decades.

Bodoe carries no baggage and nothing to hide, unlike many politicians today.

He has showed us his love for the people by the hosting of events to benefit constituents — from health fairs, walks and marches to raising awareness against crime and violence, Indian Arrival Day re-enactments and commemorations of all other religious festivities.

Recently he visited every primary school in the constituency to distribute stationery items for the students paired with a motivational talk for tomorrow’s SEA examination.

After the recent devastating flooding that severely affected residents of the South, in particular Fyzabad, Bodoe was out and about the next day with assistance and consolation for affected residents.

We elected Bodoe and have witnessed first-hand what he has done in the short space of time in office.

He has renewed the faith of both the old and young in Fyzabad with his brand of politics. He is a true man of the people. I salute him.
