Rowley speaks today

THE controversial circumstances under which 82 Venezuelans were repatriated on April 21 is one of the issues that the Prime Minister is expected to address at today’s post-Cabinet news conference.

The repatriation happened while Rowley was attending the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in London.

He left on April 15 and was scheduled to return home on Tuesday at 3.50 pm and hold a news conference at PiarcoAirport. However an operational issue with his British Airways (BA) flight led to that flight being cancelled.

The Prime Minister returned home around 10.30 pm on another flight and the news conference was cancelled.
