The family of murdered 17-year-old Mkweli Pascal is remaining silent after his death.

Initial police reports say that Pascal, who was first identified as Encolie, was gunned down around 9.35 pm on Friday at Bayshore (Old Train Line).

When Newsday visited the home of Pascal’s relatives on Battoo Avenue in Marabella on Saturday, they declined to comment on the shooting and what kind of person he was.

A resident on the street, who did not wish to be identified, told Newsday that he often saw Pascal singing and sporting a faded haircut.

The resident said he wasn’t sure why anyone would want to kill the teen.
