Trinidad and Tobago on yellow alert for bad weather
The Met Office has put the country on a yellow-level adverse weather alert.
There is a high potential for scattered, moderate to heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms.
Initially the offshore areas of south and east Trinidad are more likely to experience the rain from early Saturday morning.
As the morning progresses this rainfall activity will develop over both islands. Hilly areas are more likely to experience rain. Localised flooding is likely in areas of heavy downpours and gusty winds in excess of 45 km per hr may accompany heavy showers or thunderstorms.
