WASA school D'Abadie Youths

WASA maintained their second place stance on the Table Tennis Champions League standings after sweeping D’Abadie Youths 3-0 at the Calvary Community Centre on Wednesday.

A stellar 9-11, 8-11, 11-3, 11-6, 11-5 come-from-behind victory by Alaric Humphreys in the opening game against Everton Sorzano set the stage for a stern WASA triumph.

Curtis Humphreys followed suit and defeated Declan John 11-9, 11-2, 7-11, 13-11 while Kyle Borneo completed the dominant win by getting past Carlisle Cleveland 11-5, 11-7, 6-11, 11-4. For his brave comeback, Alaric was adjudged Toppers MVP on the night.

WASA’s (26 pts) result saw them remain second on the seven-team standings. They trail leaders Queen’s Park (28 pts) and lie just two points ahead of third-ranked Hillview Renegades.

Rounding off the table are Solo Crusaders (20 pts), Southerners (18 pts), Servivors (17 pts) and D’Abadie Youths (15 pts) respectively.
