SOME of the top Tobago gospel artistes will feature in an online concert, hosted by the Tobago Inspirational Network (TIN), on Republic Day. The concert begins at 7 pm and will be broadcast on TIN and streamed live on its YouTube channel and Facebook pages, as well as on Heartlight TV in Trinidad.

TIN is a 24-hour gospel television channel broadcast on the Trico Cable Network in Tobago and on the Atlantic Cable Network in Georgetown, Guyana. It is also available on the Wiimax Live TV Network and also accessible on Google Play. The channel features 90 per cent local content, including praise and worship, motivational messages, health and fitness programmes, Bible and family discussions. TIN’s goal is for the channel to reach global audiences. The vision behind the channel is to provide low-cost television programming to create a wider scope for the gospel to reach the masses.

“Through this concert, we aim to give greater exposure to gospel artistes in Tobago and to provide entertainment and hope to people during this pandemic period. This concert is about reminding the nation and the rest of the world that God loves you and He is still on the throne,” McClure said.

The TIN director promised viewers “a phenomenal musical experience that showcases the quality of Tobago’s talent, but most importantly, giving God glory, because He has been good to Tobago.”

Blessed Messenger -

He added, “We have done healing services and other events before, but this would be our first concert.”

The theme of the concert is Celebrating Jesus in the Capital of Paradise and will feature Blessed Messenger, the Tobago-born minister known for monstrous hits such as Famalay, Tun Up and Thanks in Advance.

Tobago’s gospel music veteran, Pastor Terance Baynes will also perform some of his popular hits, including Cover Me.

McClure said: “Covid19, has restricted us from congregating freely, but this is a message that the gospel cannot be stopped. We will continue to share the good news using whatever avenue is available.”

Also scheduled to perform are Digicel Rising Star winner Donald Job, who will be backed by the band Axis; Shantal Lindsay; JayAnne Baptiste; Creed Black and the G-City band; Delissa Wilson-George and the Shekhinah Dance Group.
