Marty the zebra dies

Marty the zebra died yesterday at the Emperor Valley Zoo after less than three months at the zoo.

Marty and his female companion, Zoe, arrived in Trinidad from Texas on July 28, 2017 when they were just under a year old.

A release from the Zoological Society of Trinidad and Tobago said Marty had been under intensive care for two days and was being monitored continuously.

He died at 2.30 am and his cause of death has yet to be determined.
