Sweat Equity Crew's fundraiser a success
Sweat Equity Crew enjoyed a successful evening at its Pork & Parang 2 fundraiser at the St Augustine Recreation Club.
The night was a vibrant mix of music, food, and community spirit, all aimed at supporting Sweat Equity Crew’s upcoming youth-focused initiatives for 2025, a media release said.
The event on November 9 brought together a lineup of local talent headlined by Crazy, Eddie Charles, and La Mansion Muzik.
The crowd was also thrilled by Ramona Pitman from VibeCT 105FM who kept the energy high throughout the evening, the release said.
Patrons enjoyed a festive atmosphere with parang and live performances and local dishes and drinks.
Sweat Equity Crew expressed appreciation to its sponsors Carib Brewery, HADCO and Rituals Coffee House for their support in making the evening a success. The crew also thanked Chateau De-Chelle’s Fine Wines and Miche Delights, for contributing pastelles, cakes and ponche crème.
Sweat Equity Crew said in the release, "We are truly grateful to everyone who joined us, supported us, and celebrated with us at this year’s Pork & Parang.
"This event plays a crucial role in helping us raise funds for our 2025 youth programmes, including the youth seminar and the windball cricket tournament, designed to empower and inspire the next generation."
With the support of the community and sponsors, Sweat Equity Crew said it is poised to continue its mission of creating impactful, youth-centered events that promote personal development and community engagement.
