GREEK club AEK Athens' battle to reach the group stage of the UEFA Champion's League (UCL) has just got tougher as star forward Levi Garcia will miss the second leg of their playoff due to injury.

Last Saturday, the club pulled off a dramatic 4-3 aggregate win over Dinamo Zagreb to secure a spot in the playoff.

However, on Tuesday, they suffered a 1-0 loss to Royal Antwerp in Belgium. Garcia was substituted in the 36th minute after calling for medical aid.

Visibly in discomfort, he pointed to his left thigh before being helped off the field.

Speaking to Newsday on Wednesday, Garcia said he suffered a small tear in his quadriceps and would be out for ten to 12 days.

Asked how he is feeling, Garcia said, "Bit disappointed, but I'll be back stronger."

The second leg of the playoff is scheduled for August 30 – eight days into his expected recovery time.

TT's Concacaf Nations League opener against Curacao is on September 7.
