Teen killed in Grande, pregnant woman stabs man

A Carnival evening lime in Sangre Grande turned deadly for 18-year-old Prince Charles from Guaico Village, Sangre Grande.
The teen was liming on March 4 on the Eastern Main Road near KFC when he got into an argument with a 57-year-old man from Foster Road, Sangre Grande, around 10.30 pm.
The argument turned physical, and the suspect stabbed Charles in his chest. Onlookers flagged a police patrol vehicle and told them what happened.
Cpl Baijuram and WPC Kalipersad saw the teen lying on the ground bleeding from his chest. They took Charles to the Sangre Grande hospital.
Medical staff attended to the teen who succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 10.49pm.
Reports say the suspect was held.
A 26-year-old man from Toco Main Road, Matura, returning home from J'Ouvert, got into an argument with a pregnant relative who stabbed him.
Around 5 pm on March 3, the victim, identified as Shawn Albert and the woman began arguing, which escalated into a physical altercation.
The woman stabbed Albert in his chest and he was taken to the Sangre Grande Hospital, where he was treated and said to be in a stable condition.
The woman who is seven months pregnant was also treated for injuries to her body.
Investigations are ongoing.
