Schools Panorama finalists announced

TWELVE primary schools and ten secondary schools have qualified for the finals of the National Schools Panorama to be held on February 2 at the Queen's Park Savannah.
This was announced on January 27 by the Ministry of Education in a series of posts on its social media handles.
St Margaret's Boys AC and Holy Faith Convent, Penal are the defending primary and secondary schools panorama champions respectively. Both have qualified for the finals.
In the primary schools competition, three schools will perform in the racked category, and nine will perform in the stationary category.
In the racked category, in order of appearances will be Febeau Government Primary, then St Margaret's Boys AC and finally, San Fernando Boys RC.
In the stationary category, in order of appearance from first performing school to ninth will be, Morvant Epiphany AC, then Guaico Presbyterian, followed by Nelson Street Boys RC, St Mary's Government, St Paul's Boys AC, Couva AC, Newtown Boys and Girls RC, Bethlehem Boys and Girls RC, and playing in ninth position will be, San Fernando Girls Government primary school.
In the secondary schools competition, the order of appearance of the ten competing schools are, in first performing place, South East Port of Spain Government, followed by St Joseph Convent, San Fernando, El Dorado East, Bishop Anstey and Trinity College East, Holy Faith Convent, Penal, St Francois Girls College, CIC/St Joseph Convent, QRC/Providence, Bishop Anstey High School, Port of Spain and playing in tenth position will be Naparima Girls High School/Boys' College.
In the prelims, 32 primary schools competed with defending champs St Margaret's Boys AC placing first with 345 pts for their rendition of DNA. Placing second and third respectively were San Fernando Boys RC and Febeau Government. These two scored 342 and 332 points respectively for their renditions of Dingolay and Runaway.
In the prelims of the secondary schools competition, 22 schools competed with CIC/St Joseph Convent (357 pts – How ah Living), Bishop Anstey and Trinity College East (350 pts – Trinidad Sweet) and St Francois Girls College (349 pts – Bun Dem) placing first, second and third respectively.
Defending secondary schools champs Holy Faith Convent, Penal tied with QRC/Providence for seventh place with both tallying 340 pts for their rendition of Pan by Storm and How ah Living, respectively.
