Fire destroys Barrackpore home

A fire destroyed a home in Barrackpore on December 1, leaving three people homeless.

Police reports say the fire started in an upper part of the house around 12.40 pm.

The three occupants, two women and a child, were evacuated before the house was completely engulfed and no one was injured.

Officers from the Penal Fire Station responded and managed to contain the fire.

Investigations are ongoing.
