Iwer brings new nightclub to Tobago
WITH less than two weeks to go, Neil “Iwer” George has plans of giving back a premium party venue to Tobago.
The soca legend and businessman is hoping his latest venture into the entertainment world will be a hit as he prepares for the opening of a new nightclub on the western end of the island on August 30 featuring an all-star DJ cast, followed by a live performance on Independence Day, August 31.
George is part of a management team behind a club at Store Bay Branch Road, Bon Accord, home of the once popular Shade nightclub. He promises to bring lots of live entertainment to the Tobago venue.
George told Newsday he has many monikers but none is more relevant than "The Boss," for a few reasons.
“I am known mostly for my talents as a soca artiste. I am also a very serious businessman, as the owner of the popular party boats the Sea Champion as well as the Embassy, which is currently sailing the seas in Grenada.”
He is also the owner of a popular urban radio station, the Street 91.9 fm, and Bagobash in Tobago.
He said one of his latest entrepreneurial achievements is buying the former Shade Night Club.
“This space will now become available for rentals to event promoters and event managers. The purpose of the investment is for the people to party and enjoy themselves, go home and make love. Let's make Tobago great again."
